Discover KHR: Live, Work, Grow

Discover KHR

Discover the charm and history of KHR, where our roots run deep and community spirit continues to thrive. Killaloe’s story began in the 1840s with logging along Brennan’s Creek, later growing with the arrival of the railway in 1896. Shaped by a proud Irish heritage, the area was named after Killaloe in County Clare, Ireland, by an early settler. While the original train station was closed in the 1960s, Station Park remains today as a lasting reminder of our rich past and the generations who built this community.

It may not be the train that brings people here anymore, but Station Park still draws people in and remains a hub for locals and travellers alike, as well as many other local attractions.

That same spirit of connection carries on through our summer events. From Canada Day celebrations and the Duck Race to local markets and community gatherings, there’s always something bringing people together.
