The Public Works department is responsible for the maintenance of 155 kilometers of paved and 102 kilometers of gravel roads for a total of 257 kilometers of roads in the Township. The Public Works department is also responsible for 3 Municipal parks, culvert and fleet maintenance, streetlight maintenance as well as snow plowing, sanding, salting, grading and dust control of Township roads.

UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION NOTICE – ROUND LAKE ROAD
The County of Renfrew Public Works Department will be replacing County Structure C308 (Tomasini’s Culvert) on County Road 58 (Round Lake Road) within the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards.
Construction Dates: March 23 to April 10, 2026
Location: Southwest of Red Rock Road
Traffic Impacts:
A single lane of alternating traffic will be in effect throughout construction and will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.
Please expect minor delays and use caution when travelling through the area. Thank you for your patience as this important infrastructure work is completed.
Road Specfic By-Law
No person shall park a vehicle on any street or roadway in any of the following places, except in the case of an emergency:
Part 5.9 advises "parking in any such manner as to interfere with a civic or municipal services, such not be restricted to snowplowing, the removal of ice and snow or road maintenance."
Part 7 advises "the Works Superintendent will be authorized to have an offending vehicle towed away during the winter months from November 2st to April 3th of each year as set out in the Parking By-Law under Part 3 - Parking Prohibited - General."

According to the Highway Traffic Act Section 181 Deposit of snow on roadway
