It’s that special time of year! The Township of Killaloe Hagarty and Richards is proud to be putting on ONE fabulous fireworks show to celebrate the event! We will launch the fireworks from Killaloe. All are welcome to watch the show at dusk on July 1st.

The Duck Race is back and ready to quack in 2022, and with a more hazardous course than ever. The ducks are up for the challenge on July 1st! The Duck Race is an in-person event that is hosted annually by the Township of Killaloe Hagarty and Richards. Every contender is assigned a duck via a number that will be used to decide their position in the overall race. The ducks are released from Station Park Bridge into Brennan’s Creek from “the ducket”, where they will race to the finish line! Special notice for beach-goers and sand castle enthusiasts alike! Sand-Sational is an online sand sculpture event being held between June 1st to August 31st 2022. By submitting a photo of your own or your team’s sand art, you will be a contender to win prizes in a multi-municipality-wide contest. Each participating municipality will have winners for the best sand sculptures or sand-related photographs, with overall winners across the entire competition with multiple chances to win! There will be $750.00 total in prizes, so don’t hesitate to sign up for free by contacting communitydevelopment@khrtownship.ca, the Killaloe Hagarty and Richards Naturally Spirited Facebook Page, or by sending a DM to the Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Instagram (@khrtownship).
Participating Municipalities include: Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards, Township of Madawaska Valley, Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan, Township of Bonnechere Valley and the Township of North Algona Wilberforce.

The third annual Environmental Action Tour was an event that took place on April 30, 2022. Volunteers collected garbage from the roadsides of 22 different roadways in the Township of Killaloe Hagarty and Richards. The event was a smashing success, with 79 total volunteers tidying up around the township and with 400 bags of garbage collected by the end of the event!
