Canada Day - 2019

The Village of Killaloe is known throughout the Ottawa Valley for our Canada Day festivities!

July 1st, come out and enjoy:

  • Fishing Derby at Natural Waters Trout Farm - 2410 Mask Road from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. KHR Firefighter's Association will pay for one fish per child. Plenty of fun, and the first 150 children will go home with one free fish. All particpants will get a special free goody bag courtesy of the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards.
  • Ducky Race: sponsored by Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Firefighter's Association & St. Casimir's Knights of Columbus - Race starts at 2:00 PM at Brennan's Creek in Killaloe. Tickets available from the KHR Firefighter's Association or St. Casimir's Knights of Columbus.
  • Canada Day Music Bash in St. Andrew's School Yard with the Terry Eggert Band from 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM. Knights of Columbus BBQ at 5:00 PM, Twisting Terry of Balloons Beyond Belief, Face Painting and Magician Stretching Reality will be present. The Loggers Chair Auction by Pat Daly of Daly Auction Services will start at 8:30 PM. Proceeds from the auction go to municipal recreation programs.
  • Your MC for the evening is Dai Bassett. Be prepared for a fantastic evening of Canada Celebrations and fun for the whole family!!

Special O Canada performance by Luna and Solana Nordholt at dusk, then the day is topped off by a Spectacular Fireworks Display, the Best in the Valley.

Rain date for fireworks is July 2nd at dusk.

Songs From the Park 2019:

A series of Free Music Concerts Fridays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm through July and August at Station Park in Killaloe.

Killaloe Garlic Festival 2019:

Join us for the launch of garlic month at the Killaloe Farmers' Market on Saturday August 3, 2019 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Hoch Farm. Live Music Featuring the Terry Eggert Band with activities for the whole family!

A festive event in a Natural Setting! Come out to Round Lake Recreation Park on Sunday August 11, 2019 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm to enjoy great music, a classic car show, delicious food and a variety of products offered by local artists and crafters. For more information Click Here

Summer Sounds 2019:

Join us on Wednesday August 14, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Station Park in Killaloe for an evening of summer sounds from Marc Audet and Percy Bresnahan.

Santa Claus Parade

Santa comes to Killaloe on December 14, 2019 with the Annual Lions Club Santa Claus Parade. The parade starts at 1:00 PM at the corner of Queen & Keetch Streets in Killaloe, and finishes up with treats for the kids at the Killaloe Lions Hall. For more information Click Here

January 25, 2020 Logger Sports Festival at Round Lake Recreation Park

11:00 am to 4:00 pm

All LOGGERS interested in competing in the Logger Sports Festival must attend a mandatory meeting on January 9, 2020 - 7:00 pm local time at the Round Lake Recreation Centre - 545 Albert Street, Round Lake Centre.

All names of interested attendants will be placed into a draw. The first 12 names drawn will be the contestants for the 2020 Logger Sports Festival. You must bring proof of your chainsaw licence and if your name is drawn you must pay the $20.00 entry fee that night (if you cannot attend you can send a representative in your place and they must show proof of your chainsaw licence and have your entry fee in the event your name is picked).
